Gazetted 2/Lt. 10th October, 1914. Temporary Capt. 9th May 1916.
Went to France 20th April 1915 and was one of the few officers of the
6th Bn left after the fighting at St. Julien in the 2nd Battle of Ypres
Mortally wounded whilst on patrol duty infront of Wytschaete 21st July 1916. .II. F. 55.
